History

Levalsa was once a significant manor and is mentioned in Domesday. It was owned by Edward de Vere, Lord Chancellor in 1572, before passing through the Tremayne (Heligan) and Edgecombe
families and other owners before purchase by Cornwall County Council in 1919

Levalsa was purchased by us from Cornwall Council in September 2024.

Levalsa has been empty for some time. Over the next few years we will be working hard to make
it a peaceful and exciting place to visit.

Stay connected via Instagram and Facebook to watch our progression and book to come and visit.

Our Reviews

We spend a fabulous few days after Christmas at Levalsa in Cook's Cottage, a wonderfully cosy little place with everything we could have needed - comfy bed, great little kitchen and bathroom, kindly stocked with bits we needed for our stay and all surrounded by idyllic Cornish rural life. Jessica and Paul were super hosts, providing us with all we needed, not just the tea, coffee, milk and treats we found waiting for us but their knowledge of the area and recommendations for days out. We enjoyed Caerhayes beach and Truro with it's magnificant cathedral along with local walks and cosy nights in with books and board games. Hope to return later in the year.

A stunning location and cosy cottage. Jess was an amazing host, we had everything we needed. Great dog walks and close to stunning views, beaches and towns. Highly recommend a visit, will definitely return soon

Had a lovely short break at Levalsa House. It’s an interesting, quirky and historic property, ideally-placed for countryside walks and close to picuresque seaside villages. Even found some very interesting insects in the grounds! Will definitely be revisiting.
